I quickly became the go-to designer at Modern Luxury for custom publications. This gave me the unique opportunity to shape an individual issue. From Ala Moana, an 8+ page fashion section in Modern Luxury Hawaii, to the annual Bon Appétit presents Chicago Gourmet, this role expanded my knowledge of editorial design. It was also a welcome opportunity to manage communication with Modern Luxury marketing teams across the nation as well as clients, such as the Illinois Restaurant Association.

Menus
One of the most exciting aspects of my role at Cunningham Restaurant Group is working with the culinary team to understand how a menu is composed and the chefs’ vision for how it should flow. There’s so much more to a menu than words on a page.
educational materials
It started with a small book and turned into a complete rebrand of the Association for Nursing Professional Development’s (ANPD) educational materials. The geometric pattern and an expansion of their color palette give these materials dimension. Clean typography styles create cohesion and help the reader organize topics. The 419 page textbook, Leadership in Nursing Professional Development: An Organizational and System Focus is my longest publication design to date.
