building a brand

LOGOS

croute.png

croute baking company

A Parisian-inspired bakery and Cunningham Restaurant Group test kitchen in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. My favorite logo to date – a mixture of Didot, Lourena, and Futura.

modita.png

modita

A Cunningham Restaurant Group concept in the Bottleworks District of Indianapolis. A blend of Asian flavors, this logo uses Bellarose, a nod to the Yokocho-inspired decor and the Art Deco design of the complex. modita.com

marquee

A Cunningham Restaurant Group concept at The Landing in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The quirky “Q” of Core Circus lends to the diner-inspired interior with neon sign atop the exterior. marqueeatthelanding.com

gatewayplaza.png

gateway plaza

A prominent site on Old Meridian and Main Streets in Carmel, Indiana offering restaurant and retail storefronts. This use of my favorite font, Futura is kerned so the letters are almost touching – giving the idea of connection.

cafe.png

cafe 251

Cafe 251 serves quick breakfast and lunch options at the base of the Fifth Third Bank building in downtown Indianapolis. This logo, using Beloved Script and Termina, updates the concept to match its modern little sister, Cafe 211 at the base of the Regions tower. Cafe 300 is grab and go, serving the corporate lunch crowd in Indianapolis.

FLAMEWORKS APOTHECARY

A small batch soy candle company in Ossian, Indiana. This logo refresh brightened the brand with a playful script font, while using a flame connected to the text - a nod to the original logo. flameworksapothecary.com

hattie.png

at home with hattie

Cunningham Restaurant Group Executive Pastry Chef, Hattie McDaniel teaches her famous recipes at home via online classes during the COVID-19 quarantine. This logo is a work in progress.

commtable.png

south loop community table

A soup kitchen in the South Loop of Chicago supported by The Inclusive Collective at the University of Illinois at Chicago. This mixture of Neutraface and Sond extends the “T” to create a literal tabletop.

thimble & cork

Wine and sewing classes in Houston, Texas are branded with League Gothic. The “I” is a needle threaded with the Abraham Lincoln ampersand.

brand guidelines

As the first professional graphic designer at Cunningham Restaurant Group, I used their resources to develop concise brands with consistency across all mediums.
